The Inca Trail, classified by UNESCO, is one of the most beautiful treks in the world. Come and walk in the footsteps of the Incas and the Quechua civilization! A hike accessible to all which finishes its course on the site of Machu Picchu. Trek available in two versions: 4 or 2 days.

Day by day

day 1: Departure day to the 4 days inca trail
Early in the morning from your hotel, you'll go through the sacred vally of the incas, crossing the Ollantaytambo village we arrive to the famous kilómetro 82. Départure place to the inca trail (8530 feet over the sea level). traspassing the control point, we go up the VILCANOTA river we can see up across from the Verónica mountain, we follow our trail to the Llactapata archeological complex. we just visit the upper site.

In the afternoon we arrive to Huayllabamba village (10170 feet over the sea level), then we continue to the Yuncachimpa camp site (10826 ft.) where our camp is set up.

Walking time: 5/6 hours.
Positive altitude difference: + 700 meters / 2297 feet.

day 2: The 4 days inca trail
After the breakfast, you will begin the ascent to the Warmiwañusca pass which reaches an altitude of 4215 meters.

During the ascent, you will go through a small forest of Queuñas, a typical tree of the Andes.

Once you have passed this difficulty you will begin the descent towards a valley, where you will camp on the edge of Pacaymayo at about 3620 meters of altitude.

You will be able to see some vestiges of the original Inca Trail.

day 3: The 4 days inca trail
This day's hike, longer but less difficult than the previous one, will be a very beautiful hike through the Inca archaeological sites connected by cobblestone roads.

You will start with the visit to the Inca complex of Runkurakay, then you will make the ascent to a pass at 3950 meters.

The day will end with the visit of the sites of Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca, Intipata and Wiñaywayna, where you will be able to observe a more exuberant nature.

We will camp near the site of Wiñaywayna (2700 meters).

day 4: Arrival to Machu Picchu by the 4 days inca trail
This day will begin very early in order to be among the first in the last stretch to the Inca citadel.

After passing the last checkpoint, you will continue the path in the midst of vegetation that is becoming increasingly dense.

You will arrive at the Gate of the Sun. It is the entrance to the citadel of Machu Picchu that offers one of the most grandiose panoramic views of this Inca citadel.

You will visit the citadel for approximately 2 hours, then you will have free time to visit the site, rest or make one of the additional ascents that are offered to Huayna Picchu (the peak next to the citadel) or the mountain Machu Picchu (this additional activity is not included).

At the end of the visit, descent by bus to Aguas Calientes.

Free lunch in Aguas Calientes.

Departure by train to Ollantaytambo and continuation by bus to Cusco.

Free dinner in Cusco.
