By going through San Blas district and then letting Sacsayhuaman behind on the left, you quickly arrive out of the city, in the close countryside. Then you go straight on and by taking a dirt road, you start to see eucalyptuses, and a vast and grassy plain. In the middle, there is a big rock and inside, the Temple of the Moon. There is a condor at the door of this small cave, then on the right, there is a snake and finally, on the ceiling, the representation of a puma: the three sacred animals are present. After passing the antechamber, you arrive at a room where there is a stone altar. Above, a cavity in the rock allows the outside light to pass and the legend says that the rising full moon touch with full force the altar at midnight, precisely. It is a very mysterious and splendid place.
