You will continue the discovery of the Sacred Valley of the Incas with the visit of the saltworks of Maras, fabulous contrast in the heart of the valley.

Transfer from your hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas to Ollantaytambo train station.

Transfer by luxury train Hiram Bingham to the village of Aguas Calientes (Machu-Picchu pueblo).

Decorated in the style of 1920s Pullman trains, the carriages are beautifully furnished in polished wood and brass with large comfortable armchairs. A gourmet lunch is included during the trip.

You will take the bus to go to the site of Machu Picchu (20 min approximately).

Visit of the Inca site of Pisac.

Located on a crest overhanging the Urubamba valley, this fortress allowed to control the comings and goings on the right bank of the Vilcanota river.

Continuation to the village of Pisac.
A free time at the handicraft market will allow you to discover all the Andean handicrafts.

day 7: Cusco and its surroundings
The capital of the Inca Empire, classified as a World Heritage Site, has managed to preserve its historic center with its cobbled streets and perfectly carved stone walls. During the day you will visit the famous imperial city, including the Plaza de Armas. You will have the opportunity to discover the stone of the 12 angles an Inca construction where the stones are perfectly intertwined.

Then, you will go to the Golden Temple or "Coricancha" in Quechua; there you will discover the foundations of the Santo Domingo monastery as well as the colonial church.

You will discover the main market of the city, San Pedro. It is the most important market of the city and you can find fruits, vegetables, spices, flowers.

Free lunch in Cusco.

Departure in private vehicle to discover the main archaeological sites around Cusco, such as the fortress of Saqsayhuaman, a place designed to protect the city. During the day you will also visit the ceremonial baths of Tambomachay, dedicated to the adoration of water and gods. Then the visit will continue with the fortress of Puka Pukara and the ceremonial site of Q'enko, a place of worship for the Incas.

day 8: Crossing of the Altiplano with the Titicaca tren
45 min before the train departure: Transfer from your hotel to the train station accompanied by your guide (Duration: about 20 min).

07h50 (Friday and Sunday) or 7h10 (Wednesday): Beginning of this train trip from Cusco; it crosses the winding plains of the Andes, where you can see vicuñas and alpacas.

The train climbs to the highest point of the trip, the La Raya pass. The train then continues through higher and cooler altitudes.

day 12: Flight over the lines of Nazca from Pisco
Departure from the airport of Pisco to fly over the famous Nazca lines.

According to Maria Reiche, the lines of Nazca would date from 900 to 600 BC, and would have been traced by the Paracas and Nazca cultures.

They would represent an immense astronomical calendar, indicating the positions of the various major stars, to direct the agricultural activity.
