The Sacred Valley of the Incas, which is located at only 30 km from Cusco, is a very fertile agriculture area thanks to the presence of Vilcanota River. In that place, the Incas learned to tame the maize cultivation thanks to, among others techniques, the intervention of terrace cultivation. From Pisac to Ollantaytambo is also the emplacement of important ceremonial centers. The valley ends with the descent to Machu Picchu. Today, this valley is a very interesting place for archaeologists on a global level, where visitors come from the entire world to admire the incredibly well preserved masterpiece of the greatest builders; the Incas.
