The Peruvian Pelican

Pelecanus thagus Size: 150 cm and 220 cm wingspan Bird very easy to spot with its enormous beak, so characteristic of the Pelicans. This species is present only on the Peruvian and Chilean coasts. Feeding exclusively on the Peruvian anchovy of the Humboldt Current, it is very vulnerable to the climatological phenomenon El Niño, which can considerably change the current.
