Lares trail
One of the best alternatives to the Incas' path: the trekking of Lares is also an ancient path used by the Incas that connects the heights of the sacred valley with the village of Ollantaytambo. This walk has the particularity of crossing typical Andean villages with costumes, traditions and way of life still preserved from globalization. The 3 or 4 day hike can be connected with a visit to Machu-Picchu by taking the train from Ollantaytambo on the last day to reach the village of Aguas-calientes.
