It is probably Huaraz’s mascot. A trek of 3 or 4 hours walking lead to a blue-turquoise lake that is located on the feet of Chararju Mountain. The altitude of 4750m starts to be noticeable, so you need a good acclimation. But, as a whole, if you are accompanied by your guide, everything will be okay and this mini-trek is really wonderful. It is a good initial overview of the Cordillera Blanca and its wonders.
