Colan

The Emerald beach of Colan is reputed to be one of the most beautiful of Piura region; it has palm trees and fine sand. It is very hot during the day but the sea breeze makes this place pleasant. In the small fishermen town, its traditional houses on stilts along the marine shore. Saint Lucas’ Church stands, with its white tower bell, in the middle of an arid desert. It was the first church to be built in Peru in 1536.
