The Canyon of Colca can be discovered on foot, in a version of 3 days, to be closer to the Andean landscapes of its fauna and flora and to travel differently.

Day by day

day 1: Departure day to the Colca canyon trek.
Departure in touristic bus to the Colca canyon, into the peruvian Andes. Dotted with peaks and volcanoes up to the great descent of Chivay, the point of entry into the Colca Canyon.

Passage through the area of Pampa Cañahua, a natural reserve of vicuñas and other Andean camelids (Reserva nacional de Salinas y Aguada Blanca).

Arrival in Cabanaconde and breakfast.

Departure to the trekking after lunch time.

Descent to the bottom of the canyon.

Negative altitude difference: 3412 ft.

day 2: The Colca Canyon trekking
Walking across of Tapay, Cosñirhua and Malata villages.

Overnight in refuge

day 3: The Colca Canyon trekking
Early departure, to avoid the heat, to reach Cabanaconde village.

Then, departure to the cross of the condor by bus. we stay in place around 45', ii's the usual moment to admire the condors fliying over the canyon.

Lunch on your own.

After lunch time, head back to Arequipa, arrival at the end of the day.

Dinner at leisure in Arequipa.
