Potolo’s village is accessible from Sucre or by a 5-hours trek from Maragua. It is mostly known for the control of traditional weaving technics. Apart from the museum dedicated to textile, another opened a few years ago, giving explanations about traditional medicine of the region (plants, mixtures, curanderos’ secrets, etc…). Close to the center of the crater, trekkings are wonderful. It is also possible to discover chullpas, these pre-Inca funeral towers, as well as dinosaurs’ prints at Niñu Mayo.
