Pachacamac

The archaeological site of Pachacamac is located about 30 km from Lima, in the middle of a sandy desert. This place is a group of ruins belonging to the Lima civilization (200 – 600 A.D.) until the Inca period. The site is made of several enormous constructions which form a city that has hold, at different stages of history, functions of religious center, trade hub and administrative center. It presents more than 50 architectural structures. The majority are made of stones and cobs. The main ones are the Solar Temple, the Moon Temple and the Pachacamac temple.
