Chincha

Chincha is known across the country to be the heart of the Afro-Peruvian culture. In bars and peñas of the district of El Carmen, the cajones are played during all the night and Afro-American dancers dance until the sunrise. You cannot miss the Hacienda San Jose, a wonder of the colonial architecture, as well as the ruins of the Chincha civilization. Little anecdote; it is said that the inhabitants of Chincha are used to eat dogs…the information is to be verified by yourself!
