Batan Grande

It is a citadel that has been entirely destroyed by the El Niño climate phenomenon. The site is compounded of about 20 pyramids on its 50 km² as well as several sepultures (like the Huaca la ventana and the Huaca del loro). Today, it became the “Santuario Historico bosque de Pomac”, historic sanctuary of Pomac forest. It is without any doubt the center it-self of the Lambayeque civilization.
