Day by day

day 1: Departure to the Cloud forest
Departure from Cusco throught the Andes, stop and coffe break in the charmed town of Paucartambo.

Following the trip to the higest Manu Biosphere point at 11581 ft. before to go down into the Cloud forest.

In this strange atmosphere, if lucky, an amazing colorful spectacle which is the cock of the rocks wedding dance (Rupicola peruviana). Peruvian national bird.

Night at the Posada San Pedro guest house. placed over 5249 ft.

day 2: Cloud forest - Atalaya
Continue by bus to the amazon basin.

Once arrival in Atalaya, you will take a boat for the next five hours over the Alto Madre de Dios river to get Boca Manu. this ride gives you the opportunity to watch the exuberant fauna and flora in this region.

Overnight at Yine Lodge.

day 3: Salvador and Otorongo lakes.
In the morning ot this third day, Sailing over the Manu river, with a stunning view over the birds and alligators who takes a sunbath and maybe also see the Capybara, the biggest living rodent in the world.

In the afternoon arrival to the Lodge. the base camp for the next two days. To visit Salvador lake, on a floatting deck to discreetly approach the fauna. You will admire a large variety of colorful birds, many kinds of monkeys and even, a giant otter family, if lucky!

Night at Sachavaca campsite.

day 4: Salvador and Otorongo lakes II.
Another walking through the jungle to reach Otorongo lake and another deck at 65 ft high, above the lake. In the evening, with flashlights to look after the alligators.

day 5: Salvador lake - Macaw clay lick
After a last walking through the jungle around Salvador lake, going down the Manu river and Madre de Dios to Blanquillo just next to the Macaw clay lick.

Overnight in Lodge Tambo Blanquillo.

day 6: Macaw clay lick
Early in the morning, head towards the Macaw clay lick to admire this extraordinary show. Parrots of all sizes and colors arriving eat the clay on a bank of the river.

In the afternoon, visit the canopy of the Amazone on a tower over 138 ft. high.

Overnight in Lodge Tambo Blanquillo.

day 7: Blanquillo - Boca Colorado and back to Cusco
Early in the morning, the last walking in boat to Boca Colorado. mining town in the Amazone.

In Mazuco we can see the dark side of the human activities on the fragile and delicate balance of the Amazone. Local transports to get over the Inambari river.

Crossing the Andes to arrive to Cusco in around 8 hours.

Arrival in Cusco in the evening.

Overnight in Cusco.
