day 1: Andean Wedding
Andean marriage is an ancestral ritual by which a couple unites in a shared commitment with Mother Earth (Pachamama). In this ritual, gratitude is offered to the spirit of the Pachamama; likewise, protection is invoked for the couple so that they may live happily and abundantly, a tradition that is still part of the living practice of the Andes.
This ceremony takes place in a sacred place near the mountains. Once the place and the day are chosen, the Shaman (the person in charge of the ceremony who has a special link with the spirits of the mountains and mother earth) will explain to the couple about the celebration and they will also receive a purification.
This union will be accompanied by an offering to Mother Earth in thanksgiving for the kindness she offers and will give to the couple.
At the end of the offering, a toast will be made to celebrate the joy of marriage. Afterwards, you will enjoy a moment of sharing around a typical Andean dish: The Pacahamanca.
The love of an Andean cosmovision is more sublime and committed, from that moment on, the couple moves forward on the path of pure love.
