Traditional Textile Center
The art of textiles in Peru goes back thousands of years and represents a true symbol of cultural identity for Andean communities. Founded in 1996, the Centre de Textiles Traditionnels de Cusco is an association dedicated to the preservation of the textile heritage of the Andean peoples. The museum recounts the uses and functions of Andean textiles and their role in the daily life of Andean communities. A visit to the boutique will provide an opportunity to enjoy weaving demonstrations and help preserve Andean traditions.
