The Huaca de la Luna is smaller than its neighbor, the, but it is more interesting. This small pyramid is constituted by a multitude of small rooms full of ceramics and precious metals. On the other hand, a great quantity of friezes and murals are presented on the walls with polychrome bas-reliefs relatively well-preserved. 107 sacrificed warriors have been buried there! Their bodies are now scattered in several museums of the region. The construction of this curious edifice took more than 600 years: each generation and during each period, the leaders remodeled it, extended it and modified it. So, step by step, the archaeologists discover the different phases and, progressively, rests of those ancient civilizations.
