San Ignacio

This city is located at about 1350 m altitude (yes, even at this altitude, you are already in Amazonia) in the heart of the tropical Amazonian forest. It has been founded by Jesuits that used the model of Chachapoyas as a sample city. You can walk in the environs, for example in direction to  Faical site and its petroglyphs or towards Miraflores or Namballe Rivers to have a canoe excursion.
