Museum of Religious Art

In what is now the palace of the archbishopric, two small flowered patios border the rooms of the Museum of Religious Art of Cusco. The interest is in the important precision of the chronology, the historic facts and the social relationships after the Spanish conquest that are represented in the paintings, principally of the School of Cusco. Several important Peruvian painters are exhibited: Diego Quispe Tito, etc… On the other hand, the amazing ceilings of the different rooms are sometimes covered with gold, sometimes with paintings.
