Moquegua

At about 2h30 from Tacna and the Chilean border, on the South Coast of Peru, Moquegua is located in one of the most arid desert of the country; Atacama Desert. Nevertheless, Moquegua River allows the culture of avocado and vineyard, base of the regional economic activity. So, hot climate of the coast is temperate by the presence of vegetation and small shady streets. It has a particular architecture which is attractive for some travelers who take time to see it. This is a pleasant place to relax during the road discovery toward the Peruvian South.
