Ilimani

Illimani is the most famous mountain of La Paz and it can be seen from everywhere in the city thanks to its short distance with La Paz (60 km). Illimani is a massive mound of 8 km large and it has 4 peaks, culminating above 6000 meters height. Because it is the highest mountain in the country, it is also called “the roof of Bolivia”, dominating the Altiplano, Titicaca Lake, Sajama, and the Amazon valleys.
