Huancayo

With its 3200m altitude, Huancayo is located in the heart of the Peruvian Andes. This crossroads city in the central cordillera is particularly interesting for observing the lives of the inhabitants: it is a bit like a stopover on the image of the Andean culture, heir to the Inca culture, and which has evolved very little over the centuries. The Sunday market is the perfect opportunity to take a look at the products, clothing, customs and crafts of this people and this region of the world.
