Huancavelica

Huancavelica, a former mining and industrial town, is difficult to access, as the enclave in the mountains is so difficult to penetrate. Nevertheless, it is worth the detour. In addition to the few pretty churches it has, its geographical location, at the foot of high steep and eternally snow-covered peaks, swept by high altitude winds, gives the impression of being able to touch the sky. It is a place where time seems to be suspended, where the rules of the past still apply, and where the wonders of nature are bare to the eye.
