Church and former convent of Saint Augustine

The main interest of this edifice is the incredible stone façade made in a Spanish style, and extensively decorated, that keeps the visitor in awe. Inside, there is the Statue of Death, of Baltazar Gavilan, sitting in the sacristy. The Grim Reaper would have caused the artist death as a result of its stark reality. The cloister is surrounded by arcades with double column and paintings of Saint Augustine’s life.
