It is literally situated on the border between Bolivia and Peru; this small island only measures 0.8 km². Landscapes are steep and carved by winds that are blowing on Titicaca Lake. The legend says that potato and corn grow by their own and, as a result, it would have been introduced until the firm ground and cultivated by the Inca. The other legend says that it is impossible to get closer to the island without causing a storm, because the gods are protecting it.
