Bolivar Park is out of the ordinary by certain aspects. This park gives you perfumes of Europe, bordered with high “Ceibo” (regional trees), its fountains, monuments, and decorations will send you out of Sucre. There are several styles, Romanesque-Gothic, Spanish Doric and Baroque, all this for a beautiful setting. Incidentally, a large-scale imitation of the Eiffel Tower ordered by Gustave Eiffel himself in 1909 (centenary of the first cry for the liberty of America) stands in the middle of the park. Country’s rulers and intellectuals of the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th were obsessed by European style and particularly French style. This park testifies it.
